For the fourth year, a Tome brigade of students, staff, and alumni traveled to Nicaragua to serve as medical assistants and translators with Promise In Sight.
Co-founded by a Tome parent, Promise In Sight is a dedicated group of both medical and non-medical volunteers who serve the people of Nicaragua, treating and preventing eye disease and blindness using surgical and medical techniques.
This year’s Tome group collected 500 pounds of eye and sunglasses donated from local organizations, including Tome. The glasses were distributed to the people of Nicaragua.
