MIL Basketball Championships were held on Saturday, February 23, with Tome earning a spot in the boys and girls championship games.
At the Championship game the Girls took an early lead vs. Tri State and kept the momentum going to the final buzzer. The win gave the V Girls a fourth consecutive MIL Championship title. Abby Hershner ’19 earned MVP honors, with Taylor DeMasi ’20, and Alivia Carrillo ‘23 joining her on the All Tournament team.
The Tome Boys faced off against Aquinas and quickly took control of the game, winning 52-31. This is the Titan’s first MIL Boys Championship since 2008. Nate Pierce ’19 was named All Tournament MVP; teammates Garrett Kegley ’19 and Zach Ziegler ’19 earned All Tournament honors.
