Senior Abby Hershner and Junior Taylor DeMasi have been named to the All County Field Hockey team by the Cecil Whig. Junior Defensive player Charlotte Harris received All-County Honorable Mention honors.
Team Captain Hershner played forward for the Titans. Described as a natural leader and a calming presence by Coach Jackie Williams, Hershner was the teams lead scorer.
At Center Midfield, DeMasi is considered the core of the field. She led the team in assists on goal. A year-round player, DeMasi is constantly trying to improve her skills so she can advance to the next level.
Harris is known for being a team player, and giving everything she has at every practice and game. Harris regularly stopped opponents at the circle, turning the ball back to her team’s offense.
The Titans finished the 2018 season with a record of 9-4, going 5-2 against public school teams in close games.
With 11 players returning, Coach Williams is looking forward to see what the team can do as they head into next season.
